  • Use this endpoint to lodge a change of a registered company's name. Use the status endpoint to check progress, and the certificate endpoint to retrieve the change-of-name certificate once ASIC has processed it.

    All responses except the certificate are delivered in JSON format.

Company Name Change Request

A POST request to this endpoint will return a JSON response with the request ID. This example is based on a real, successfully-processed name-change lodgement, with identifying details replaced.

A GET request to this endpoint will return a JSON response.

If the request never reached ASIC (no agency_id assigned - e.g. it failed local validation before lodgement), this returns just requestId, status and errors instead, without attempting to check remotely.

Company Name Change Certificate

Once ASIC has processed the name change, a GET request to this endpoint returns the change-of-name certificate as a PDF.
