General Overview
The PPSR Searches API provides direct programmatic access to the Personal Property Securities Register — Australia's national register for security interests in personal property.
Search by ACN, ABN, ARBN, ARSN, VIN, chassis number, individual name, organisation name, or PPSR registration number. VIN searches also return NEVDIS vehicle data including make, model, year, registration plate, stolen status, and written-off flag.
All search types are available through a single unified endpoint. Optionally request a government-issued search certificate (PDF) with any search.

What's Included
Grantor Searches
Search PPSR by ACN, ABN, ARBN, ARSN, individual name, or organisation name. Returns all active registrations against the grantor.
VIN & Serial Number Searches
Search by Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), chassis number, HIN, or official number. Includes NEVDIS vehicle data: make, model, year, rego plate, stolen status, and written-off flag.
Registration Lookup
Look up a specific PPSR registration by its registration number to retrieve full details including collateral, grantor, and secured party information.
Raw Data + Government Certificate
Every search returns full structured raw data and a government-issued PPSR search certificate (PDF). Download the certificate at any time - no expiry limits on access.
Single Unified Endpoint
All PPSR search types go through one endpoint. The search type is detected automatically from the fields in your request - no need to specify it explicitly.
